Are you an avid traveler who likes to spend a majority of your time traveling to different countries and experiencing the local food, places, and culture? Who doesn't like this? I too like to spend most of my time traveling to different places, and based on my experience, I decided to write down three amazing tips for when I travel abroad. I bet you would love to know these from someone who has spent a lot of his time traveling overseas.

Traveler’s Guide for Long Tips Abroad

1. Getting a VPN

Sometimes, I travel to countries where some important apps and banking apps do not work. That's where a VPN helps. In case you don't know, a VPN is a virtual private network that helps you connect to an IP address of any location in the world and keeps you on an anonymous network.

I usually turn on my VPN while sitting in cafes and using public WiFi, as you know how prone they are to hacking, and you wouldn't want to get scammed while thousands of miles away from your home.

If you ask me the best VPN for travel, I would suggest Surf shark VPN without a second thought. When it comes to choosing a VPN, I don't want to try 10 different services because Surfshark offers the best value for money, connectivity, server uptime and speed. You should definitely give it a try.

2. Get a utility travel backpack

A good travel backpack is an invaluable companion for any long trip abroad. Ditch those bulky suitcases and opt for a versatile, utility-focused backpack instead. Not only will it make traveling on busy streets and airports a lovely experience, but it'll also come in handy during your adventures.

Look for a backpack with multiple compartments to keep your belongings organized, sturdy straps for comfortable carrying, and weather-resistant material to withstand any sudden downpours.

Bonus points if it has lockable zippers for added security. With a well-designed travel backpack, you can pack everything you need for your journey while leaving your hands free to snap photos, consult maps, or indulge in street food.

Moreover, you may also carry these backpacks as your hand luggage in airplanes, and take a lot of items inside, without having to carry multiple backpacks.

Trust me, having a utility backpack is much better than traveling with suitcases, but only if you are for a 2-3 days trip, and don’t need many items to travel.

3. Offline Download Google maps

One of the best tips that no one would actually give you is downloading google maps offline. This will help you when your phone’s data is exhausted, or when you are stuck in a place with no network coverage.

This wouldn’t take much space on your device, so make sure you open your Google map application, click on your profile photo in the top right corner, and select offline maps. Now select your own map, and choose the location that you are at, and download the area’s offline map.

Wrapping up

Traveling is one of the best things you can do in your life, it not only helps you to replenish the mental state, but also helps you explore new places, cultures, experiences, food, and whatnot.

But traveling also needs to be done cautiously, you are 1000s of miles away from your comfort zone, so there’s a need to be fully prepared for all the obstacles on your way, whether it is downloading offline maps, installing surf shark vpn, or getting yourself a utility backpack.
